CDL Class B Boom Driver

Overview

Drive trucks, load/unload materials, operate crane/forklift, ensure safety.

Tasks

-Participate in mandatory federally regulated drug and alcohol program. -Keep mileage logs as necessary. -Responsible for care and maintenance of assigned vehicle. -Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to. -Notify branch management immediately on any unsafe loading condition. -Operate forklifts periodically. -Use personal protective equipment as required. -Drive trucks from the facility to designated job sites safely and in a timely manner. -Load and unload building materials on and off trucks and carry materials onto job sites.

What You Bring

-Ability to convey directions and work effectively with a partner. -Must be able to operate designated crane/boom, or moffett safely and efficiently. -One must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL). -Will experience frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, pushing, and pulling. -Obtain visual acuity. -Dexterity to manipulate and utilize equipment on an as needed basis. -Frequently experience lifting and carrying objects including overhead lifting (weights will vary from 50 to 150 pounds). -Some schooling is preferred. -Ability to follow directions from dispatcher/branch management. -One must also obtain a clean driving history record.
