Robotics Fleet Manager
Humanoid
The Role
Overview
Manage robot fleet uptime, allocation, and operational systems across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- fleet uptime
- robot monitoring
- allocation management
- repair coordination
- scheduling workflow
- data collection
Tasks
This is a fast-moving, hands-on operational role that requires close collaboration with hardware and software engineering, AI/data teams, validation and test, product deployment, and executive stakeholders. You will define internal allocation workflows, run operational meetings, and ensure robots are deployed where they deliver the most value. As Robotics Fleet Manager, your north star is uptime: making sure every robot is either operating, allocated, or being actively restored to service. You’ll maintain detailed visibility into the health, configuration, and readiness of each unit in our prototype robot fleet, and ensure structured allocation across teams and functions. You will also define scalable systems, processes, and tracking infrastructure to support future growth as we move from internal fleets to customer-facing deployments. -Work closely with engineering leads to understand testing requirements, upgrade windows, root-cause analysis, and hardware/software dependencies -Maintain live operational status of all Alpha and Beta robots, including known issues, usage limits, and repair status -Act as the single point of truth for allocation conflicts, swaps, and approvals -Collaborate with AI and data teams to plan robot time for data collection workflows -Proactively drive recovery and repair efforts to maximise fleet uptime -Develop and maintain clear scheduling and prioritisation workflows for high-value use of limited fleet assets -Collaboration with top‑tier engineers, researchers, and product experts in AI and robotics -Ensure high-integrity record keeping for issues, interventions, and lifecycle events -Partner with product and executive teams to support internal demos, customer pilots, and investor showcases -Track configuration, software updates, hardware revisions, and test coverage per unit -Build and manage the operational infrastructure for internal fleet management: -Regular fleet review cadences with engineering, data, and product teams -Interface with repair, diagnostics, and service engineering to manage issue triage and root cause cycles -Define service-level targets and lead prioritisation of actions to restore non-functional units -Tracking tools, dashboards, allocation boards, and utilisation logs
Requirements
- electromechanical
- debugging
- 5+ years
- robotics
- cross-functional
- data-driven
What You Bring
-Strong hands-on familiarity with complex electromechanical systems and basic debugging workflows -5+ years in operations, test engineering, hardware logistics, or fleet management roles—preferably in robotics, automotive, or aerospace -Exceptional cross-functional communicator with a service mindset and high reliability -Own robot allocation across engineering (V&V, reliability), AI/data collection, product (demo/POC), and operational repair loops -Highly structured and data-driven, with a bias for visibility, action, and accountability -Freedom to influence the product and own key initiatives -Proven success managing the health and allocation of a limited, high-value equipment pool across multiple teams -Comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with changing priorities
