Electrical Engineer

Overview

Conducts electrical root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and launch support for vehicle systems.

Tasks

Provide remote and direct support for dealerships experiencing difficult problems with vehicles. Investigate problems found on early prototype engineering vehicles and coordinate interim and long term solutions with the component releasing engineers. Perform electrical validation testing and document results as required. Gather engineering teams from multiple engineering disciplines and direct them in solving complex vehicle problems. Direct and coordinate trouble shooting and repair activities at engineering and assembly facilities. • Support a variety of launch activities at assembly plants and pilot plants. Conduct repair, customer audit testing, and management update meetings. Work with zone representatives that are supporting vehicle dealerships.

What You Bring

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Familiarity with vehicle engine system. Amount of travel, Very very rare - under rare circumstances : Area's would be limited to Canada Minimum 3 years of related electrical systems • Strong leadership and communication skills. Troubleshooting experience with vehicle systems at assembly plants, road trips, pilot build areas and proving grounds. Experience performing circuits analysis on the vehicle sub-systems. Basic knowledge of software and modeling concepts. Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Strong leadership and communication skills. Does this position require driving a vehicle? (YES - trouble shooting may require -Test drive to reproduce issue / Driving on a Track or on public roads /Moving vehicle to another plant location) Understand BUS tools, scopes, and other test equipment. Previous experience with vehicle validation testing. Circuit analysis and trouble shooting skills Basic knowledge of software and modeling concepts. • Understand BUS tools, scopes, and other test equipment.
