Senior HV Engineer managing isolation, permits, and reliability for Thames Barrier assets.

Tasks

-Guidance on the implementation of TBAG Investment and asset management strategy in the short, medium, and long term. -Providing expert specialist and technical engineering advice to the Engineering Manager and deputising both internally and externally. -Assisting the development of all TBAG Engineering strategies and policies. -Oversite and development of HV projects and Strategic Planning. -Supporting the effective reliability, availability, operation and maintenance of the active operational infrastructure and associated electrical systems across the TBAG assets. -Proactive leadership to facilitate delivery of specific programmes including delivery of TBAG capital programme, TBAG maintenance programme, TBAG training/development programme and the execution of the TBAG gate trial and testing programme. -Act as one of the sites Senior Authorised Persons, carrying out Electrical isolations on Low Voltage and High Voltage equipment and producing, and checking electrical Permits and switching schedules. -Undertaking a Thames Barrier Incident Role.

What You Bring

-Can read electrical drawings and diagrams. -Experienced with Low Voltage electrical systems. -Good knowledge of electrical regulations and standards -Experienced with High Voltage electrical systems. -Knowledge of managing maintenance contracts and projects. -Experienced with electrical fault finding -Excellent knowledge of Electrical and Safety Standards and Regulations. -Chartered status with the IET
