Tasks

A renewable energy developer/IPP is seeking a Design & Development Engineer to support the technical design and development of large-scale solar and energy storage projects. This role bridges the gap between project development and engineering execution — ensuring that each project is optimally designed, technically sound, and ready for financing and construction. -Performance Modeling: Conduct energy yield analyses and system performance modeling to support project feasibility, investment decisions, and financial modeling efforts. -Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development, project finance, and construction teams to ensure alignment between technical design, economic modeling, and project execution. -Project Design & Layouts: Develop and optimize site layouts, array configurations, and electrical designs for solar PV, wind, and battery energy storage projects using tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and GIS platforms. -Due Diligence & Feasibility Studies: Perform site assessments, technology evaluations, and design reviews for potential project acquisitions and greenfield development. -Technical Support for Development: Provide engineering input during project siting, land acquisition, and permitting. Evaluate interconnection options and constraints. -Documentation & Standards: Maintain and improve internal design standards, templates, and documentation to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across the portfolio. -Contractor & Vendor Coordination: Support RFP processes for EPC contractors and equipment suppliers by preparing technical specifications, reviewing bids, and evaluating equipment options.
