The Role
Overview
Perform field surveys, process data, and draft plans using CAD for infrastructure projects.

Tasks
-Conduct field surveys using various surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scanners -Contribute to the maintenance and calibration of survey equipment to ensure optimal performance -Process raw field survey data collected by field crews using Trimble Business Center or similar software -Draft topographic, boundary, and construction survey plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation -Stay current with industry standards, technologies, and best practices in surveying and geospatial data processing -Support project managers and licensed surveyors with data analysis, calculations, and documentation -Assist in the setup and operation of survey instruments and equipment -Perform basic survey calculations and adjustments as needed -Assist in the development and implementation of survey-related workflows and procedures -Collaborate with field crews to ensure proper data collection and resolution of any discrepancies -Assist in the preparation of survey reports, including property descriptions and easement exhibits -Maintain organized project files and adhere to company and client CAD standards -Perform QA/QC on incoming field data and ensure accuracy of deliverables -Assist with the preparation of digital terrain models (DTMs), surfaces, and alignments -Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members and clients

What You Bring
-Due to the projects associated with this position a US Citizenship is required -Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar drafting software -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail -Familiarity with survey data formats and coordinate systems -Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -Experience in land surveying, CAD drafting, or geospatial data processing
