Overview
Design water and wastewater pump stations, treatment facilities, and mechanical systems.

Tasks
-Drafting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) that show the interaction among system components and equipment. -Providing comprehensive 2D/REVIT drawing packages that are clear, accurate, and follow the site design standards. -Participates in the updating and drafting of new and existing systems for design change, cost reductions, and manufacturability. Assists with evaluation of vendors. Ability to conduct field walks and field verifications. -Providing custom installation details for the more complex portions of projects. -Coordinating effectively with project engineers, project coordinators, engineering coordinators, construction trades, and other team members to ensure that the design/as-built reflects the project’s objectives. -Verifying, updating, and drafting detailed piping plans including pipe routing, instrument and valve locations, and equipment layout. -Verifying, updating, and drafting comprehensive chemical/mechanical plans including piping layout, equipment layout, schedules, and P&IDs. -Conducting punch-list walks on completed projects to ensure the final implementation adheres to the design intent. -Implementing isometric views into design packages to assist in field installation and understanding. -Provide drawing and drafting support for details, vendor submittals, and perform engineering drafting, drawing review, drawing control, and related services required in the design of engineered systems (i.e., tank and/or vessel design). -Producing detailed flow diagrams for both gas-side and water-side systems (HVAC, Hydronics, and Fire Protection).

What You Bring
-Has thorough understanding of discipline requirements and is able to train, lead, and mentor junior staff or staff new to the project. -Four (4) or more years leading engineering design teams and personnel development -Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Idaho or ability to obtain within 3 months (active NCEES record) -Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET Accredited University -Experience in building systems mechanical design in semiconductor or related high tech type facilities. -Candidate must be within commuting distance and willing to commute to site and/or office as necessary. Jacobs will not reimburse travel expenses for this position. Relocation assistance may be provided. -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Applicant must complete background check and drug screen and be fully authorized to work for any client in the United States. Jacobs will not sponsor or continue a visa for this position. -Position may require visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction. Applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, lift and carry up to 25 lbs. -Authorized to Work -Seven (7) or more years of practical application of mechanical facilities engineering, including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related mechanical facilities systems -Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-discipline design teams -Two (2) years field experience -Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks software -Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base -Five (5) or more years of experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools either their manufacture, installation, or use in cleanrooms -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
