The Role
Overview
Liaise employees with community opportunities, manage campaigns & nonprofit relations.

Tasks
-Generates reports and dashboards to measure employee engagement, community impact, and alignment with strategic goals -Plans and executes annual Volunteer of the Year Awards and other community recognition programming -Autonomy & Decision-Making: Makes decisions on assigned areas of responsibility, provides recommendations to supervisor and refers all exceptions to supervisor, as needed. -Guides Build It Forward KC, JE Dunn’s monthly light construction volunteer initiative, by coordinating the planning committee, engaging nonprofits, overseeing logistics, and driving employee participation -Promotes and tracks participation in the Employee Match Program, ensuring accurate reporting and increasing employee awareness -Plans and executes national community campaigns, including National Volunteer Week, JE Dunn Has Heart, and United Way, by developing strategic timelines, national communications and impact tracking, while executing campaign logistics locally in Kansas City -Serves as a connector and resource for employees seeking local volunteer opportunities; actively participates in events to foster engagement and visibility -Coordinates sponsored nonprofit event participation in Kansas City by managing employee sign-ups, tracking engagement, and coordinating with nonprofits to ensure fulfillment -Represents JE Dunn at community and sponsored nonprofit events in Kansas City -Maintains a national nonprofit board resource toolkit and provides localized support by developing a database of opportunities and matching employees with aligned community organizations -Complies with all company and site policies and best practice standards. -Captures stories and visuals from Community Impact efforts and collaborates with Communications on the annual Community Impact Year in Review publication -Conducts actions in a professional and unbiased manner. -Coordinates the Community Ambassador network across JE Dunn offices, managing group membership, hosting bi-monthly calls, and providing resources to empower consistent local engagement and campaign execution -Utilizes relevant JE Dunn technology to support all assigned responsibilities. -Participates in and complies with all company safety and quality programs and procedures. -Continuously develops proficiency and understanding in the role.

-Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally -Maintains a professional appearance and workspace. -Thorough knowledge of organizational structure and available resources -Ability to motivate and inspire spirit of generosity through individual’s time and talents -Ability to learn and use a variety of software, tools and systems necessary to meet business needs -Communication skills, verbal and written – Advanced -Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships -Organizational skills -Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner -Typically travel is not required -Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds -Ability to prioritize multiple projects -Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business nonprofit management or related field (Required) -Ability to build and influence individuals at all levels of the organization -Occasional activity: Standing, Walking, Bending, Climbing, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling -Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen -Ability to be proactive and resourceful -Proficiency in MS Office – Intermediate -Ability to follow-up on inquiries in a timely manner -Ability to deliver quality through attention to detail -In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered. -2+ years experience in community relations, corporate social responsibility or volunteer management work (Required)
