Tasks

-Owner’s representative relationships (establish/maintain/build) -Pursue new relationships with potential clients and design firms -Championing company initiatives -Identify and pursue leads prior to RFPs being issued; assist in acquiring new work -Ensure internal “lessons learned” meeting is held -Oversee implementation of PACE preparation and projections -Approve Critical Path Method schedules for our work -Follow up with owner on lessons learned, strengths/weaknesses -Estimating and Bidding -Review estimates prepared by project managers and estimating -Promoting the McGough way -Review and understand project financial condition and profitability (PACE) -Guiding and mentoring project management staff to ensure these individuals are trained for the next level in their career -Promotion of other McGough services (SP, Industrial, FM, Development, etc.) -Assure the safety protocols are in place and adhered to -Ensure cost history information is uploaded -Fostering and building relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors and suppliers -Lead estimate presentation to owner/design team -Take lead in preconstruction effort -Lead preconstruction scheduling effort -Take lead in interview preparation -Review and understand global project management staffing needs and available resources -Attend and participate in project management and other company meetings -Ensure project management staff is mentoring at all levels -Actively participate in company-sponsored events -Construction schedule review and oversight -Participate in company business development activities (client functions, design firm open houses, conferences, etc.) -Participate in Lean events and support the McGough Way -Verify scope/budget/schedule are in alignment throughout preconstruction process -Establish relationships with clients, architects, engineers, consultants and subcontractors -Take lead in responding to RFPs with Marketing -Coach/Mentor project management staff -Review proposed subcontractors prior to presenting to owner -Design partner relationships (establish/maintain/build) -Perform functions of PM I and PM II as may be necessary for project success -Understand and oversee quantity take-offs and assist in estimating labor production, materials and equipment -Understand project staffing needs and make sure proper resources are involved

What You Bring

-Understand warehouse equipment, rentals, small tools, services and costs -Scope bid materials (concrete, rebar, brick, etc.) -McGough Self-Performed Work -Successful management of project financials, including fee retention -Four-year degree in Construction Management or related degree -Scheduling experience preferred -Demonstrated experience building strong partnerships and trust with external partners, including owners, owner’s representatives, design firms, and subcontractors -Thorough and detail-oriented -15+ years of related experience, including experience with self-perform capabilities -Strong collaboration and communication skills -Strong computer skills, including Excel -Ability to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints -Estimating and field experience a plus
