Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
Coordinate and conduct employee training on applicable safety topics, such as handling hazardous materials, emergency response, and workplace safety best practices.
Assist in the documentation of proper disposal of hazardous waste according to environmental laws and regulations with guidance from EHS Manager.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and report them to EHS Manager for evaluation and review.
Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
Support in maintaining all required environmental permits and working with EHS Manager to ensure timely renewal and compliance.
Collaborate with HR and departmental leaders to enhance employee engagement in safety initiatives through supporting safety programs.
Assist in the investigation of accidents and near-misses, identifying root causes, and documenting findings.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.

Prior administrative experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new compliance-related software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to train and motivate staff towards maintaining high safety standards.
Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field or possession of a degree in a related field.
Basic understanding of OSHA regulations.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
