Be responsible for profitability and identifying, obtaining, and assigning appropriate resources to projects to meet budget, schedule, and scope requirements.
Ensure the Business Class is compliant with QA/QC requirements, and other project management and reporting requirements.
Manage and execute multidiscipline projects.
Identify project opportunities, lead client development and pursuits to win work of key projects in the Drinking Water market sector and assist with others as directed.
Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand.
Commit to quality, improvement, and HDR values.
Be responsible for management of staff in the Drinking Water Business Class, including performance reviews, salary adjustments, staff recruitment and selection, staff development and morale, quality control, and marketing support.
Work collaboratively with other Business Class Leads and Market Sector Leads within the Water Business Group.

Bachelor’s degree in a Professional Architecture, Engineering, or closely related field.
Water and wastewater market sector business development accomplishments and aptitude.
Strong client relations skills, along with an interest in client and business development.
Professional Engineer registration in Iowa or Nebraska, or the ability to obtain registration within 6 months.
Active engagement in selected professional conferences and industry associations with presentations, committee assignments, and leadership positions.
Perform other duties as needed. Specific types of projects in the Drinking Water Business Class include treatment facilities, water supply, pumping stations, storage reservoirs, a variety of pipeline related projects, and master planning. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong people and organizational skills, with a wide variety of project types and experience with multiple clients.
