Tasks

-Azure DevOps (or other testing software): Utilize Azure DevOps or other testing software for effective test planning, execution, and reporting. Maintain testing documentation and artifacts in testing tools. -Integration and Data Deliverables Testing: Test GIS system integrations, data deliverables, and configurations to ensure seamless functionality. Validate the interoperability of GIS components and data consistency. -Document Review: Conduct thorough reviews of project documentation related to test plan and execution. Offer insightful comments to enhance the quality of test plan documentation and provide approval. Review test plan and scripts to ensure alignment with project goals. -Crafting Actionable Test Cases: Craft clear and actionable test cases that effectively validate GIS system functionality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage. -Sit or stand to answer a phone for the duration of the workday -Stand to use/operate office equipment for the duration of the workday -Vendor Deliverables Testing: Lead testing efforts for vendor deliverables, including factory acceptance, system acceptance, and user acceptance testing. Ensure that vendor-provided solutions meet the specified requirements. -Team Leadership: Lead the project team through the testing phases, ensuring the successful execution of all components of the testing plan. Support FAT, SAT/SIT and UAT planning and execution activities. Support defect resolution and prioritization. Oversees and manages overall testing efforts across test phases. -Metric Reporting: Develop and maintain reporting metrics to showcase the success or failure of testing efforts. Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on testing progress. -Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality assurance measures to verify the effectiveness of testing solutions and defect resolution. Advocate for the customer throughout the testing process, ensuring that GIS solutions meet user expectations. Collaborate with development teams to address customer feedback and enhance system usability. -Performance Testing: Work with a team to set benchmarks to perform performance testing to stress-test GIS systems and identify areas for optimization. Provide recommendations for performance improvements based on testing results. Create a process for conducting daily manual testing to ensure the health and functionality of GIS applications. Craft and execute test cases to validate system reliability and performance.

What You Bring

-Master's Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience and proven experience as a GIS project Team Lead with a focus on system integration. -Proven experience in GIS related testing, specifically in electric and gas utility operations, preferred. -Ability to read small print and symbols -Decisive Sign-Off: Demonstrate decisiveness in signing off on testing-related requirements and planning documentations ensuring alignment with project goals. -Possess manual dexterity and the ability to use hands for the duration of the workday -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, required. -Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience. -Strong understanding of GIS applications and technologies, preferred. -Familiarity with enterprise-wide solution preferences for integration, preferred. -Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, required. -In-depth knowledge of integration technologies and best practices, preferred. -Master's Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience. -Strong background working on enterprise systems and delivering successful integration solutions, preferred. -Demonstrated problem solving skills -Proven experience in GIS testing, with a focus on daily manual testing, performance testing, and vendor deliverables testing, preferred. -Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision making skills -Ability to analyze and interpret financial data -Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers. -Driver's License Required -Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday
