Overview

Lead MRO for aero‑derivative gas turbines, overseeing overhaul planning, execution & compliance.

Tasks

-Liaise with design engineers, OEMs, supply chain, and operations teams. -Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality assurance protocols. -Prepare and maintain detailed operating procedures, inspection reports, and compliance documentation. -Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement process improvements. -Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime. -Working effectively with cross-functional teams including design, operations, and quality. -Consult with internal and external engineering teams to define the technical requirements of component overhaul. -Update technical manuals and procedures as needed. -Develop and define the workscope for overhauling gas turbines. -Recommend corrective actions and implement solutions. -Conduct risk assessments and enforce safe working practices. -Track and manage the residual life of Life Limited Parts during the overhaul process. -Coordinate inspections, repairs, and overhauls in line with industry and regulatory standards. -Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances. -Support procurement of spare parts and materials. -Set standards for the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of turbine components. -Identify root causes of performance issues or failures using diagnostic tools and data analysis. -Lead or support MRO projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and reporting progress to stakeholders. -Train and mentor apprentices on MRO procedures and best practices.

What You Bring

-Extensive knowledge of gas turbines and rotating equipment. -The ability to interpret data from sensors and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve faults -Degree in Mechanical Engineering. -Adherence to strict safety protocols and risk assessments. -RB211 and/or Avon product knowledge -Flexibility to respond to unexpected issues or changes in operational priorities. -Clear reporting of technical issues and maintenance outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. -Route cause and corrective action experience -Precision in following procedures and documenting maintenance, repair and overhaul activities -Demonstrated experience of repair schemes
