Tasks
Expand the reach of the studio by cultivating new client relationships and strengthening existing ones. Balance hands-on involvement with effective delegation and oversight. Manage consultant coordination and approvals to achieve timely, high-quality outcomes. Collaborate with leadership to refine business strategy, improve processes, and support sustainable growth. Strengthen repeat business through exceptional service and delivery. More than a project delivery role, this is a chance to help shape the future of the studio: guiding design direction, strengthening client partnerships, and contributing to strategic growth. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior and intermediate staff. Mentor and empower the next generation of architects, ensuring knowledge, standards, and values are carried forward. Develop and secure new opportunities, with a focus on building long-term relationships with developers and industry partners. Foster a studio culture that values accountability, collaboration, and learning. Encourage innovation and professional growth across the team. Shape both projects and practice, balancing design leadership with business development. Contribute at the ownership level, with responsibility not just for delivering projects, but for helping drive growth, reputation, and long-term success. Lead proposals, presentations, and client negotiations. Ensure compliance with the Alberta Building Code and municipal planning requirements. Provide senior-level guidance in design, project execution, and studio operations. Oversee all phases of residential development projects, from schematic design through approvals and construction. Represent the studio in the marketplace, enhancing visibility and reputation.
