Tasks
-Participate in the start-up and implementation of the six-step quality control/safety process for the Electrical scope of work. This includes the start-up and implementation of the site-specific quality program to include the quality control plan, quality process log, test register and quality point files. Participate in the weekly QC meetings and trade partner foreman meeting as directed by the QC Manager. -Be fully aware of the contract, plans, specifications and applicable codes. -Interface daily with Electrical trade partners, the owner’s inspection staff, and applicable Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to ensure all work complies with the project’s contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes and standards. -Collaborate with Electrical trade partners to actively participate in issue resolution, ensuring timely identification, communication, and closure of field-related challenges to maintain project schedule and quality standards. -Interface directly with owner's quality assurance and management on all quality-related issues. -Document and submit a daily report of quality control activity for the Electrical scope of work. -Support and participate in shop fabrication and inspection visits as necessary to ensure that Electrical systems are fabricated in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes prior to installation. -Provide daily reports to the Quality Control Manager detailing inspection activities, issue tracking and resolution status, coordination activities with trade partners and AHJs, and overall compliance with contract documents, project specifications, and applicable codes. -Participate in the start-up, final testing and commissioning of the Electrical systems. -Proactively identify field issues related to Electrical systems and track all deficiencies noted by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Verify that all corrective actions have been completed through direct field verification and maintain thorough documentation of issue resolution and compliance. -Participate in all Electrical initial, follow-up, and close-in inspections, also compile/review associated reports. -The individual in this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and office activity. -Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, computer, and computer printer. -Conduct daily on-site pre-inspections of Electrical work scopes to verify that installation and testing requirements are being met in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes through to completion. -Audit the Electrical scope of work trade partner quality control procedures. Report chronic problems with trade partner work or quality control programs to upper management. -Constantly reads written communications and views mail submissions. Will also need to read blueprints and take/verify field measurements. -Stooping – Bending the body downward and forward by the spine at the waist. -Participate actively in all phases of Electrical system implementation, including startup, material verification, full installation, system testing, and inspection processes. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable codes and standards through completion of their scope of work. -Assist with the development of the preparatory meeting agendas and participate in the preparatory meeting prior to the start of the Electrical definable feature of work. Review and maintain the project quality process log (QPL). -Participate in the selection process for outside testing contractors and verify adherence to testing standards, frequency and documentation. Coordinate third party testing agency activities with Hensel Phelps and the Electrical scope of work trade partners. Coordinate and schedule for source inspections. -Constantly computes, analyzes, and conceptualizes mathematical calculations and formulas. -Climbing – Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding and ramps at various heights. -Receive trade partner test and inspection requests and produce a coordinated test and inspection schedule.

What You Bring
-Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Control, installation, and inspection of Electrical systems in airport terminal electrical construction, including high/low voltage, F/L/S, and information technology systems at a commercial carrier airport. -Required: A 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering accompanied by a professional engineer’s license in the state of California and/or be a licensed master electrician. -Must be technically experienced and capable of understanding specifications, standards, and code requirements related to Electrical disciplines. -Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate. -Verification of Work Authorization and Employment Eligibility -Background Checks for Badging/Security Clearances (if applicable) -Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel based templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoCAD. -Walking - The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, boxes, cabinets, etc. -Balancing – Ability to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling and to walk, stand or crouch. -Strong communication skills. -Frequently exposed to noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. -Physical Exam (if applicable) -Valid Driver’s License.
