Tasks

-Ensure accurate GL posting, accruals, and reconciliations for customs-related accounts. -Liaise with external brokers, freight forwarders, and customs consultants as needed. -Assist with internal and external audits related to customs or import accounting. -Model financial impacts of tariff changes, trade policy shifts, or sourcing decisions. -Collaborate with Customs Compliance to ensure duty payments align with declared classifications (HTS codes) and trade agreements (USMCA, etc.). -Partner with FP&A and Supply Chain teams to integrate tariff and duty assumptions into forecasts and budgets. -Partner closely with Logistics, Procurement, Tax, and Legal to evaluate tariff implications of sourcing strategies. -Support the implementation of process controls and documentation for customs-related transactions. -Support long-term planning for cost optimization and supplier diversification. -Provide financial input on supply chain optimization projects, such as vendor relocation or duty drawback initiatives. -Develop and maintain models to track and forecast tariff and customs duty costs across product lines and geographies. -Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on tariff exposure, duty spend and import cost performance. -Analyze landed cost variances, identify drivers, and provide actionable insights to supply chain and procurement teams.

What You Bring

-Ability to translate complex tariff and customs data into business insights -Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and import data systems -Experience in the manufacturing, distribution, or logistics-driven industry preferred -Up to 25% domestic travel, required -Strong financial discipline combined with operational curiosity -Master’s degree preferred -Strong knowledge of U.S. tariffs, custom duties, and Import/Export processes -Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills -Exposure to duty optimization, trade compliance tools, or global supply chain finance preferred -Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Supply Chain Management, required -CPA, CMA, or customers broker certification a plus -Advanced excel and financial modeling skills -Collaborative mindset – comfortable working across finance, operations, and compliance function -Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in financial analysis, cost control, or trade finance
