The Role
Overview
Design and coordinate low voltage/telecom systems for building projects.

Tasks
-Maintain knowledge of current industry product offerings and research new emerging technologies. -Develop alternative system design concepts, feasibility and tradeoff studies and valueadded engineering when required for projects. -Assist in problem resolution and technical troubleshooting when field support is needed. -Coordinate with integrated, multidisciplinary project teams to develop functional requirements, system designs and other project related requirements. -Define and develop complete project related construction documents to include all design documents (SD, DD, CD) to show design intent, project specifications and assist with system related activities within all construction administration (CA) activities. -Meet with project clients to evaluate, define and review customer needs/objectives and ensure those requirements are meet within the project design.

What You Bring
-Strong general engineering knowledge of either the telecommunication (Horizontal/Backbone cabling and pathways) or electronic security systems (access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection etc.) and operational coordination with commercial hardware.
