Tasks

Identify new Trade Contractor partners and maintain strong relationships with existing contractors Create subcontract tender comparisons for sign-off Resolve issues proactively to ensure smooth project delivery Compile accurate costs to complete valuations and periodic reporting Uphold the company's ‘no order, no payment’ policy Attend regular site visits and perform re-measurement of work on site where necessary Raise orders prior to management sign-off with appropriate documentation Perform measurement ‘Take-Offs’ for Brickwork and Joinery labour works Tender for all-risk Road, Sewers, and Plot works Are you ready to join a dynamic team driving excellence in house building? We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Yorkshire region who will contribute to delivering high-quality residential developments. The role is pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard, while maintaining adherence to the company’s Health and Safety policies. You will be responsible for procurement, cost planning, cost control, and general commercial oversight throughout the development process, helping to drive profitability and efficiency across all projects. Compile and present site start budgets to the Commercial Manager Increase Trade Contractor Base Manage payment of trade contractors and agree variation values

What You Bring

-Ability to read and interpret specifications and working architectural drawings -Highly motivated, resilient, and results-driven -Ability to work independently and remotely -ONC, HNC (or equivalent) or qualified by experience -Confident negotiator and excellent communicator -Ability to build strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders -Excellent numeracy and analytical abilities -Experience in the construction industry, preferably in a house building environment -Strong communication and influencing skills -HND or Degree qualified (desirable) -Commercial awareness and effective time management
