Demonstrates attention to detail. -Proficient with codes, standards and guidelines -Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; -Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information. -Employment with Merrick is contingent upon completion of a pre-employment background check, MVR check, and drug screen. -Must be willing to work in a design team environment, including directing the work of junior engineers and designers, and delegating work as required as well as take design direction from senior-level engineers -Strong experience in calculating and sizing of mechanical equipment including AHUs, fans and pumps. -Strong experience with thermal load calculation and energy modeling for mechanical systems. -Strong experience in sizing and laying out ductwork and hydronic piping systems. -Verbal Communication - Able to clearly communicate to others at all levels within the organization. -Candidate must have their PE license. -Size and layout ductwork, hydronic and plumbing piping systems -Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) in Mechanical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited program. -Requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a computer workstation. -A minimum of twelve (12) years related experience. -Must understand the importance of Business Development, project management for A-E firms, managing to fee and demonstrate skills in a multi-discipline teams.
