Junior Case Manager - Maritime

The Role

Overview

Coordinate maritime claim cases, liaise with clients/surveyors, and manage related finance.

Tasks

-Provide case management services on maritime claims, incident response, casualty investigation and pre-risk assignments. -Record instructions and set up cases on our ERP and CRM systems in line with ABL Group requirements. You will pass the details of instructions on to our Surveyors. -Liaise with Brokers, Underwriters, Ship Owners and all other concerned parties to ensure that case information is channelled to the correct parties. -Obtain instruction confirmation and billing details from the instructing party and ensure that this is logged accordingly. -Contribute to the development and execution of client relation meetings and workshops. -Receive and sense-check reports from Surveyors with onward referral to additional technical department teams or management as needed. -Maintain the integrity and security of client case files in line with the requirements of the QHSE system. -Build and maintain excellent external and internal client relationships, through both face-to-face meetings and other means of communication. -Oversee the issuing of loss advice or reports to clients and other relevant parties. -Maintain compliance with ABL Group’s QHSE policies, manuals, procedures, work systems and regulations at ABL premises, projects and client sites. -Work alongside our finance team to review and approve intercompany sub-contractor invoices, project invoices, and work in progress. -Maintain awareness of case developments and the movement of Surveyors to ensure the best use of resources and that client requirements are met.

What You Bring

-The ability to be proactive, efficient, and ensure that deadlines are met. -At least 5 years’ experience of working in the Maritime or Energy markets. -The ability to delegate projects and cases and communicate with stakeholders of varying degrees of seniority. -Knowledge of Maritime insurance market practices, roles and policy types is desirable. -Experience of project and case management, client or customer liaison, assigning resources, and reviewing technical reports.
