Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor managing cost, contracts, and commercial aspects of large projects.

Tasks

-Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow to ensure financial control. -Certify contractor bills, variations, and claims. -Mentor junior QS staff and provide technical guidance. -Prepare MIS reports, cost reports, and financial statements for management. -Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, rate analysis, and tender documentation. -Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients. -Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, industry standards, and company policies. -Manage tendering, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations. -Conduct cost planning, value engineering, and risk analysis.

What You Bring

-Professional certifications (RICS, MRICS, AIQS, ICES, etc.) desirable. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying (Master’s preferred). -Proficiency in QS tools/software (e.g., CostX, Candy, MS Excel, AutoCAD). -Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. -Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. -Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC, NEC, etc.). -Experience in large-scale infrastructure or international projects. -8–15 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost management, and contracts. -Exposure to BIM-based quantity take-offs and digital QS tools.
