The Role

Overview

Lead OVG's Coordination & Statutory Valuations, overseeing teams, grievances, and stakeholder engagement.

Tasks

-Provision of statutory advice and services including the management of grievance processes -Strategic planning, business improvement and providing professional consultancy services and advice to influence decisions that significantly impact the State and/or industry. -Leading negotiations and engaging and communicating with clients and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

What You Bring

-Have practised as a land valuer (whether in the service of the Government or privately) for a period (whether continuous or aggregate) of at least 5 years; and -Effective leadership and management experience -Excellent organisational skills including development, implementation and ongoing improvement of processes and organisation. -Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years. -Knowledge of valuation principles, practices and methodologies and expertise in statutory valuations including adherence to objectivity and fairness. -Be qualified as a Valuer in accordance with the Land Valuers Act 1994 and Land Valuers Regulations 2024; -Have a current Driver’s Licence. -Be eligible for or have a current Associate or Fellow level Membership of the Australian Property Institute as a Certified Practising Valuer (CPV).
