Tasks
The Senior Accountant/Assistant manages the financials for multiple companies under the same ownership group and assists the Controller with monthly reconciliations and reporting. This role involves collaborating with senior management and providing financial analysis, ensuring that the business entities’ day-to-day financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. -Gather and document business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and creating reports and dashboards to provide data-driven insights. -Maintenance of organized system of accounting records to support financial reporting. -Utilization of tools and software to prepare dashboards and financial summaries to discuss with and make recommendations to leadership. -Works within and promotes corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization to employees, customers, industry and community. -Assists Controller and external auditors for annual and quarterly audits. -Review year-end analysis and cost variances and prepare reports with recommendations. -Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reconcile accounts, and perform variance and trend analysis. -Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting processes, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, fixed assets, expense management, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance. -Support the creation of the company budget and financial forecasts, tracking against targets, identifying areas for cost reduction or efficiency improvements, and monitoring financial performance. -Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline financial processes and use of resources and materials. -Provide support to the external audit process by preparing requested documents and serving as a liaison. -Help establish and maintain internal controls, ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulations and industry standards, and assist with tax filings to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

What You Bring
-Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. -Proficient with Accounting and Payroll software programs, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, or related software. -Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. -Must be able to meet and/or exceed annual Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) assigned to role. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Experience with data analytics and ERP programs. -Thorough understanding of GAAP accounting practices, budgeting and cost accounting. -At least 3-5 years of industry-related experience including Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller positions. -Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, or another industry-related field required; or equivalent experience and education required. -Ability to think strategically and adapt to changing business environments. -Strong analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills. -Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
