Tasks

-Add to your strong skills through the variety of work. For example, you'll learn pavers and other equipment you may not have worked on previously, and when we have new equipment, we'll ensure you'll get the needed training. -Performing general and special maintenance, including hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic diagnosis and repair on trucks and equipment, both in the shop and field -Assisting with or completing the fabrication of parts and/or tools necessary to complete a specific task -Work a diverse fleet of commercial trucks and heavy equipment. -Remaining at shop on designated late night until all crews have returned -Ordering and organizing parts and maintaining stock on inventory. Following up with the Shop Foreman to ensure all needed parts and/or supplies have been properly documented, ordered and/or received -Complying with and following all safety regulations -Play a critical role on the team including new to seasoned mechanics. -Keeping accurate records in the shop maintenance system (RTA) of all repairs -Completing routine inspections on trucks and equipment as necessary

-Knowledge of regulations; DOT certification, a history of performing DOT inspections -A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; CDL Class A preferred -Manual transmission diagnoses and service -All new CDL Driver Hires must register for the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and consent to AA Asphalting reviewing their Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse record. -Pursuant to the FMCSA, all new CDL Drivers will be subject to the full queries of the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse database to ensure they are not prohibited from performing safety-sensitive functions due to prior drug or alcohol violations. -Hydraulic, air and electric brake troubleshooting and repair; brake certification -Skill maintaining, diagnosing and repairing trucks and heavy equipment -Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment -Your own set of tools (up to 2" sockets and wrenches, " & " drives) -5+ years of diesel mechanic, journeyman experience including:
