LaBella is looking for the right person to lead the interior design aspect of the K-12 market projects and project teams. The lead position is expected to be an authority or expert in the fields of interior design with a specialty in K-12 learning environments.
Ability to work quickly, effectively, efficiently and within project timelines and budgets, manage support teams to do the same.
Have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in commercial interiors with a concentration in educational environments both K-12 and/or Higher Education.
Other certifications such as ALEP, WBI, and LEED AP certifications are not required but are a plus.
Good ability to lead, mentor, and delegate to project teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - excellent presentation and people skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively.
Advanced ability to create constructable technical documents.
Advanced understanding of Sketch Up, Enscape and Adobe creative Suite, ability to use efficiently a plus.
Creative, forward-thinking, and passionate about creating immersive experiences.
State Certification or Registration.
Possess well-developed visualization skills and be able to convey intent of ideas easily and quickly, both verbally and visually.
Proven experience in designing interiors for K-12 projects.
Expert proficiency in Revit and experience with AutoCAD.
Advanced organizational and time managements skills.
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from a 4 - year CIDA accredited interior design program.
Enjoys working in a team setting and be excited to share knowledge and ideas with others, and to help others to improve their own skills and expertise.
Advanced understanding of all phases of design and construction.
