Construction Intern

Overview

Assist project teams with all phases of construction projects, both office and site.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Assist with writing subcontracts & purchase orders. -Assisting with managing subcontracts -Attending weekly progress & coordination meetings -Assisting with performing scheduling, estimating & project management -Assisting with ordering & expediting materials -Assisting with coordinating the work between the owner, architect & subcontractors -Cooperating & working with field project management -Assisting with verification & approval of invoices -Assist with reviewing construction documents & specifications. -Assisting with quality control & safety management, including inspections, tool box talks, project-specific program review & development, first work inspections and documentation. -Assisting with permit process -Interfacing with subcontractors & suppliers -Shop drawing & submittal review/approval & maintenance of log. -Assisting with maintaining field records -Assisting with reviewing all document revisions & clarifications -Verifying and tracking work progress and field productivity -Assisting with estimates/budgets/value engineering/constructability surveys -Assisting with site logistics plan development and implementation -Assisting with preparing billings change orders for owner -Assisting during the bid process with things such as subcontractor outreach/solicitation, bid package development, bid review & verification, etc. -Assisting with developing monthly reports
