Overview

Operate forklift to move products safely, maintain counts, and perform safety checks.

Tasks

-Operate forklift in a safe and effective manner and follow all safety and company policies -Responsible for unloading/loading materials from production lines -Comply with Westlake Safety Policies and Procedures -Notify the Line Supervisor of any safety or maintenance problems immediately -Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds -Provide accurate stack counts -Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection) -Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure safe and efficient operation. -Ensuring tile specifications meet quality standards

What You Bring

-Team player, reliable and high work ethic -Basic mathematical skills (i.e. ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide) -Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions -Good communication skills -Complete repetitive movements -Ability to move or traverse about the facilities -Prolong standing or in stationary position -Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility -1 year of related experience -Able to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions, required. -Forklift, mixers, air driven pumps, moisture balance and dust collector system. -Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out -High School Diploma preferred
