Tasks

-Offer legal advice on compliance matters across manufacturing, environmental, safety, retail, and construction operations. -Coordinate with outside counsel and regulatory agencies when needed. -Help build and improve compliance programs. -Support risk management strategies and help shape company initiatives. -Work closely with operations, sales, and safety teams to identify and reduce legal and compliance risks. -Stay up to date on changing laws and regulations, and share practical guidance with teams across the business. -Help create training and educational materials to foster a strong compliance culture. -Assist with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance. -Provide legal input on product safety, warranties, and construction defect claims.

What You Bring

-High ethical standards and good judgment. -Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state and eligible for licensure in Minnesota. -Comfortable working independently and with teams in a fast-moving, hands-on environment. -Solid understanding of regulations in manufacturing and construction (e.g., OSHA, EPA, state building codes). -Experience as in-house counsel in manufacturing or construction. -Background in safety, sustainability, or environmental compliance. -Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. -Compliance certifications (like CCEP, CRCMP, CRMP, GRCP). -Familiarity with enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks. -5+ years of legal experience, ideally in regulatory compliance, risk management, or construction law. -JD from an accredited law school.
