Overview

Entry-level plant operator handling loading/unloading chemicals and basic upkeep.

Tasks

-Sweeping building interiors. -Participation with safety meetings. -Loading and unloading of chemicals, emulsified asphalt, binder trucks, tack pots, spreader trucks and railcars.

What You Bring

-Ability to utilize a calculator for basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). -The ability to work a 2pm - 10 pm shift -Basic written recordkeeping; and -Ability to acquire a license for Forklift Operation (OSHA); and -Ability to self-start, motivate others, work with little direction. -Proper tool cleaning and storage. -Knowledge of basic hand and power tools. -Ability to learn and put in action 5S principals. -Ability to work in a dirty and adverse work conditions. -Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English. -Basic housekeeping duties (cleaning up litter, spilled products, office, bathroom etc.). -Ability to Observes gauges, dials, and operation of machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications. -Adherence to all environmental, health and safety rules, policies, and procedures. -High School diploma or equivalent. -Ability to conduct the necessary weekend checks of the plant on a rotating basis. -Current state automobile driver’s license and a reliable vehicle, potentially for work-related travel.
