Tasks

-Applying fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and insecticides as needed to lawns, shrubs and plant material in accordance with accepted industry practices, safety procedures, label instructions, and rules and requirements of various Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies -Using hand tools, power tools and/or equipment to perform IPM duties -Preparing and mixing products according to label instructions and product specifications, and using in accordance with prescribed safety precautions and directions -Maintaining accurate records of products used -Maintaining cleanliness of vehicle and equipment -Identifying, diagnosing, and treating turf and ornamental issues as they arise -Ensuring the safe and proper operation of tools, vehicles, and equipment; adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements

What You Bring

-Must be able and willing to work for long periods of time outside (in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight) -Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management -Completing all required correspondence regarding work orders -Excellent communication skills and customer service skills -Horticulture, L&O and agricultural experience in related fields is preferred -Must be able to use hand tools and power equipment -Certified Pesticide applicator preferred -Knowledge of turf and ornamental issues preferred -Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day -Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. -Experience with operating a Z sprayer required -Some knowledge of pesticide, fertilizer, and herbicide products and calibration -Valid driver’s license required with ability to clear Motor Vehicle Record review -BMP Best Management Practices Certificate preferred -Ability to work cooperatively with employees and the general public, as well as working independently
