The Role

Overview

Safely operate dump trucks to transport and deliver materials at various construction sites.

Tasks

-Schedule and coordinate regular maintenance and repairs with the Fleet Manager or maintenance team. -Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, materials transported, and any issues encountered. -Safely operate the dump truck to transport materials to and from job sites. -Load and unload materials using the truck’s hydraulic system or other equipment as required. -Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and other drivers to coordinate deliveries and ensure timely completion of tasks. -Report any discrepancies or issues with materials to the site supervisor or dispatcher. -Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the Fleet Manager or maintenance team. -Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall vehicle condition. -Ensure that deliveries are completed as requested and provide exceptional service to maintain positive relationships. -Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment. -Follow all traffic laws and company policies while driving. -Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning the truck, checking for and addressing minor issues, and ensuring the vehicle is in good working order. -Address any customer concerns or issues in a courteous and efficient manner. -Verify the type and quantity of materials being transported and ensure it matches delivery instructions. -Ensure proper loading, unloading, and securement of materials to prevent spillage and accidents. -Interact professionally with clients and job site personnel. -Complete all required paperwork and reports accurately and on time.

What You Bring

-Proven experience driving dump trucks or similar commercial vehicles. -Ability to operate and maintain hydraulic and other equipment used in the loading and unloading process. -Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require specialized training or certification). -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. -Strong knowledge of safety regulations, vehicle maintenance, and material handling.
