Tasks

-Oversee compliance with local environmental regulations and global sustainability frameworks. -Engage with governmental stakeholders and contribute to capacity-building workshops and technical committees. -Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental and sustainability principles into design, construction, and operations frameworks. -Prepare and present technical reports, position papers, and policy briefs related to sustainability in the built environment. -Evaluate and benchmark sustainability best practices against international standards. -Provide expert input on energy modeling, carbon footprint reduction, and water efficiency strategies. -Lead sustainability-related technical reviews, studies, and recommendations for the development of unified standards, codes, and regulations. -Advise on green building certifications (LEED, Mostadam, BREEAM, etc.) and align them with Saudi regulations and Vision 2030 sustainability objectives.

This role is ideal for a professional with extensive experience in sustainability strategy, green building design, energy efficiency, and environmental compliance, who can provide expert guidance to ensure that sustainable practices are fully integrated into national engineering standards. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sustainability Engineer to join our team and contribute to a prestigious government-led initiative focused on the standardization and unification of technical and engineering standards in Saudi Arabia. -Leadership in multidisciplinary environments -Proven experience in developing or implementing sustainability frameworks, green building standards, or energy efficiency codes. -Deep understanding of architecture, urban design, and engineering integration. -Strategic thinking and technical expertise in sustainability integration -Excellent presentation and communication abilities. -Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code, Vision 2030 sustainability goals, and international standards (ASHRAE, ISO, LEED, etc.). -Certifications such as LEED AP, PQP, Mostadam, or equivalent are highly desirable. -Strong analytical and documentation skills -Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, from a recognized university. -Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience liaising with government entities or regulatory bodies. -Minimum of Fifteen (15) years of experience in sustainability engineering, including work on large-scale infrastructure, building, or policy development projects.
