Overview

Perform mine utility work: bolting, shotcrete, install infrastructure, operate equipment.

Tasks

-Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment -General mine labor in production areas, including installing conveyor and advancing ventilation duct, water line, electrical cable, etc. -Perform duties to apply shotcrete to the roof and ribs of the mine -Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment -Report equipment problems and identify them to management. -Must place a high priority on attendance -Perform bolting and meshing of the roof and ribs. -Complete equipment pre-shift report - Conduct thorough Workplace Exam, to identify and correct hazards daily

What You Bring

-Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment and other duties as assigned -Experience in tunneling or mine development considered a plus -Ability to learn quickly -Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences and increased production demand times -Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision -Must pass pre-employment drug screen -Must be willing to work weekends and overtime -Ability to maintain safe working conditions -Ability to safely operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery in a rock quarry including a dozer, roof bolter, front end loader, Haul Truck etc.
