Overview

Place/finish concrete, set forms, demolish, ensure safety on curb, gutter, sidewalk projects.

Tasks

-Be involved in daily safety meetings. -Set forms for grade and design. -Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. -Place and finish concrete in curb, gutter, and sidewalk projects. -Operate small power tools. -Complete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each task. -Assist in demolition of existing concrete.

What You Bring

-Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests. -Prior experience in a concrete placement would be an asset. -Able to lift 50 lbs. -Willing to work overtime when needed including Saturdays. -Good communication skills. -Able to work well with others. -Able to work in a fast paced, high production environment. -Able to work unsupervised.
