Trainee Site Manager

Tasks

-Manage the performance of the supply chain to ensure key contract objectives are delivered -to successfully deliver a Defueling & Decommissioning programme, a first of a kind -Develop a programme of work ensuring that projects are issued, monitored, delivered (to cost and time) in accordance with legislative, regulatory, Cadent technical standards, policies and procedures -Manage the engineering teams ensuring the highest standard of customer service and safety standards are delivered, providing assurance though audit and inspection, taking appropriate action to address areas of improvement -Investigate and resolve customer queries, claims and complaints in an expedient and professional manner -Undertake or assist with incident reporting, investigations, submission of final reports as well as close out of remedial actions -Continually monitor operative’s performance and foster a culture of team working and safety, creating a culture of zero tolerance of safety and compliance breaches and working towards Injury Free Environment -Undertake or be working towards Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) duties for temporary works operations -Carry out standby and call out duties as required -to successfully deliver projects that maximise the lifespan of their generating stations -Maximise staff engagement through actively contributing at team talks, address staff issues, identifying development needs, deliver as appropriate toolbox talks, safety briefings and team briefs -Support the Area Manager in identifying areas for improvement, leading on initiatives as appropriate -Act as a key advocate for the contract with senior representatives from local authority organisations to promote Cadent activities -Manage engineering teams to optimise operational activities thus ensuring key business objectives are delivered -Consistently demonstrate, promote and develop high standards of safety behaviour, leading by example. -Act as competent person for Flow Stopping and Commissioning Operations in line with Cadent Safe Control of Operations, Main Laying and Service Laying Procedures

What You Bring

-Analytical and problem solving skills -Ability to lead a team, influence and drive performance -UMSTS / SMSTS -Experience in operations relevant to SCO procedures -Working knowledge of relevant codes of practice, safety and statutory regulations -Previous gas supervisory experience -Current UK driving licence -Site management experience -Experience in delivering works in a safe and compliant manner -Good communications skills required (written and verbal)
