Tasks

-Operate HDD Drills (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch) to drill and install underground gas lines. -Ensure all project work is compliant with installation standards and is being performed safely and correctly. -Promote and monitor the safety of team members. -Participate in manual labor tasks as required on project. -Prepare sites to ensure maximum optimization of construction work procedures. -Execute job deliverables according to customer specifications and contract requirements. -Secure work sites, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift to ensure public safety and safety of equipment and materials.Ensure that all work being done is in compliance with the company’s safety protocols. -Responds quickly and efficiently to emergency situations while remaining calm in a crisis -Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the Foreman or Supervisor. -Place, remove or maintain underground utilities as directed. This includes but is not limited to: carrying pipe, bags of material and other heavy items, jack hammering, shoveling, tamping and installing pipe, duct or cable.

What You Bring

-Attention to detail to ensure all repairs, inspections, and calibrations are performed to industry standards and -Exhibits ability to think practically and creatively to implement the best safety practices. -Three to five years of experience operating HDD equipment in underground utility or pipeline construction. -High School Diploma or Equivalent required. -Previous experience in the natural gas industry is highly preferred. -Certifications in HDD Operation, safety training, and utility locating is highly desirable. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills. -Understands when to wear personnel protective equipment. -Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
