Tasks

As part of our dedicated team, you’ll be responsible for the repair, servicing, maintenance, and operational work on Western Power’s fleet of heavy vehicles and plant. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of equipment, ensuring reliability and safety across our operations. -Conducting inspections and safety checks -Diagnosing faults and performing repairs -Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance

We’re currently seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Road Transport Mechanic to join our team based at our brand-new state-of-the-art South Metro Depot in Forrestdale, conveniently located next to Tonkin Highway. Spanning across 120,000 square meters. With the latest infrastructure and technology, the depot empowers all employees to create that perfect work-life balance whilst operating in an inclusive and diverse workplace. -Highly developed teamwork skills - Must be able to work as part of a high performing team. -High Risk licence class Forklift (Desirable) -Base Trade qualification (AQF3) in either Heavy Duty Mechanics, Auto Electrics, or Mechanical Fitter -Fortnightly RDO -High Risk licence class Dogging (Desirable) -Demonstrated industry experience as a Heavy vehicle / Plant Mechanic -High Risk licence class EWP (Desirable) -Valid WA ‘HR' Driver's License (Desirable) -Valid WA ‘C' class licence (essential) -Experienced in diagnosis and repair of hydraulics / low voltage electrical.
