Overview

Assist in design, analysis, and project coordination of bridge and civil structures.

Tasks

-Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders. -Participate in site inspections, condition assessments, and construction support activities such as RFI responses and shop drawing reviews. -Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. -Assist in the design and analysis of bridge structures under senior supervision. -Engage with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to support project delivery and resolve technical queries. -Support project management tasks including scheduling and resource planning. -Contribute to proposal writing and business development efforts.

What You Bring

-Minimum 5–10 years of experience in structural engineering. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s preferred. -Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving ability, and eagerness to grow into a senior technical or project management role. -Solid understanding of structural mechanics, materials behavior, and construction methods. -Working knowledge of CHBDC and relevant design software. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience contributing to technical documentation and client-facing materials. -Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. -Familiarity with provincial and municipal standards, including BCMoTT and MTO guidelines.
