Tasks

-Gather and prepare research for technical reports. -Participate in a wellness program promoting balanced lifestyles -Support senior staff with project schedules and technical engineering calculations. -Contribute to limited portions of broader projects under direct supervision. -Assist in designing practical solutions for engineering problems, with a strong focus on structural elements in the railroad industry. -Develops an understanding of how the firm operates as a consulting business and how this role contributes to its success -Provide mentoring to student interns by answering questions and guiding routine assignments. -Perform entry-level plan production with clearly defined instructions. -Represents Olsson in a professional manner at all times

What You Bring

-Solid interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills -Experience in MicroStation, Risa 3D analysis, and Bluebeam Revu preferred -Ability to diligently research applicable requirements and regulations -Must possess or obtain Engineer Intern certificate (EI) -Holds a valid driver’s license and maintains a good driving history -Strong communication skills -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering -Willingness to work a flexible schedule -Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail -Survey and/or structure design background preferred -Adept in verbal and written communication -Advanced mathematical and analytical abilities -Working knowledge (or ability to become proficient) in applicable technologies -Travel and work in various terrain and weather conditions at project sites in different construction stages. -Understands their role in quality management -Ability to contribute and work well on a team
