Tasks

-Manage yearly memberships of SSIP’s currently SMAS & CQMS, obtaining all evidence required to support. -Liaise with contact managers to assess site progress and variations -Review tender documents prior to submission -Manage project budgets and monitor financial performance, including weekly cash flow -Manage schedule of standard prices with key suppliers aligned to wider Group agreements -Manage valuations, variations, payments, retentions, and final accounts -Attend client meetings when required -Oversee estimators -Forecast and manage project cash flow and report variances

What You Bring

This role would ideally suit someone with a background in drylining, having previously worked within a contracting business, or within the construction or housing sectors. We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager (Working for a Drylining Subcontractor) to join our small, busy team based in Kings Hill, Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of drylining packages on residential and commercial projects from tender stage through to final account. -Proficient in reading technical drawings and construction documentation -Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines -Minimum 5 years in a senior QS role, ideally with a drylining or interior fit-out contractor -Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
