Tasks
-Directs and mentors team members in the development of design plans, technical oversight, specifications, design calculations, load ratings, cost estimates, reports, final bid packages, etc. -Prepares proposals and/or contracts; Participates in project decisions regarding technical approach, costs, and scheduling -Manages, develops, organizes, and implements structural planning, analysis, preliminary and final design document preparation for bridge-focused transportation projects -Responsible for client relationships, visibility, and business development -Reviews plans, specifications, reports, and analyses to meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements

What You Bring
-Robust technical and critical thinking skills -Master’s degree preferred and may substitute for 1-2 years of experience -PE license required -AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenBridge, MicroStation v8 and Connect experience is a strong plus -Detail oriented and quality focused -Strong project management skills -Demonstrated excellence in verbal presentations and technical writing -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required (structural emphasis preferred) -Experience completing transportation studies, design reports, final design documents and developing contract plans, in conformity with accepted engineering standards and procedures including AASHTO & DOT -Extensive knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in structural engineering -8-11 years of professional experience in structural bridge design, construction phasing, and complex bridge projects required -Team oriented with strong capability to work independently -Independent experience developing bridge design and detailing (steel, concrete, prestressed concrete), and seismic analysis -Knowledge of structural engineering software (AASHTOWare, LARSA 4D, MDX, SP Column, MerlinDASH, Mathcad)
