Overview

Lead process safety compliance and risk management for chemical engineering projects.

Tasks

-Produces and/or reviews specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, design calculations, etc. Ensures that they conform to engineering quality, competence and project management system. -Participates in or reviews risk studies, consequence analyses, e.g., toxic gas dispersion modelling, drop object studies, PHE [Physical Effect Modelling], etc. -Directs or participates in MOC reviews, and other parts of the MOC process as needed. Follows up on sound implementation and closure. -Identifies and raises any area of operational and process safety risk and proposes relevant corrective and/or preventive actions. -Follows up and supports the implementation of the actions related to safety risk assessments and safety studies. -Participates in or reviews various safety studies/activities, such as: PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs, QRAs, SIL, Bowtie, compliance reviews, SIMOPS, etc. -Ensures Project Risk Register is maintained and updated on a regular basis and ensures all risks are mitigated through assigned actions. -Develops and implements process safety procedures, plans, programs, templates and related documentation adapted to the project. -Manages Contractors in the execution of engineering delivery. -Ensures compliance with project’s requirements on Process Safety to promote a risk-free environment.
