The Role
Overview
Ensures rail operation safety, compliance, and continuous improvement for Dubai Metro.

Tasks
-Develop reports for external parties such as government agencies, regulators, and clients as required; also support liaison with said parties as required. -Support and/or coordinate emergency preparedness exercises. -Lead/Conduct incident investigations to determine the root causes, contributing factors, and corrective actions. -Acts in a safe manner and work within the safety policies for own workplace, including wearing PPE and implementing protection arrangements as applicable. -Reports safety incidents promptly and renders helps in case of emergency while maintaining own safety. -Complies with the Company’s policies and procedures. -Assist in the implementation of Just Culture and Behavioural Safety Programmes to improve the safety and sustainability culture of the organisation. -Ensure compliance with budgeted resources for operational safety initiatives and training programs. -Performs the duties only for which they are trained and certified. -Support the Rail Operations Safety Manager in developing and maintaining the integrated management systems elements relevant to operational safety. -Managing safety risks in a dynamic railway environment. -Support the development, review, and delivery of safety training courses, ensuring their conformance with legislative requirements and internal processes. -Support functional departments in the development and implementation of safety performance indicators in line with external and internal requirements. -Ensures the health, safety and welfare of themselves and others are not affected by their acts or omissions. -Staff are expected to be flexible and work anti-social hours during emergencies to ensure the safe -Monitor and report on employee ‘Return-to-Work’ programs where required. -Develop and implement an active monitoring program in line with organizational arrangements, including the completion of workplace and site inspections, documenting inspection findings and corrective actions. -Support the development and monitor the effectiveness of safety controls in place to prevent injury, illness, damage to property, plant, or the environment. -Effective stakeholder management while balancing safety and operational efficiency. -Lead and manage safety drills/ webinars/meeting as delegated by the Line Manager. -Takes responsibility for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company information by following established ISMS guidelines. Reports any potential security vulnerabilities or breaches to the appropriate personnel and supports the resolution of such issues in a timely manner. -Undertake On-Call duties as per roster and report notifiable incidents to department leads, key stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and QHSE Director (where required). -Ensuring compliance with evolving operational safety, health and safety regulations and standards. -Ensure effective communication and coordination with key stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and internal teams regarding safety and compliance matters. -Ensuring a positive attitude to environmental & sustainability initiatives & minimise negative environmental impacts.

What You Bring
-Time management and project management skills. -Regulatory interpretation and application skills. -Knowledge of railway organisational structures, standards, workflows, procedures, and terminology. -Strong conceptual, analytical, and research skills to develop solutions. -Experience in the preparation and review of risk assessments. -Integrated Management Systems experience. -Demonstrates a strong understanding of the companys Information Security Management System (ISMS) and actively participates in its implementation and maintenance. Adheres to ISMS policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information and maintain data integrity. -Effective procedural development skills. -Sound knowledge and understanding of safety-related legislations and compliance frameworks. -To be rostered for on call duty, once certified. -Organisational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to handle multiple priorities. -Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and BI tools such as Q-Pulse. -Demonstrates a strong understanding of the collaborative business relationship policy and the effectiveness of the collaborative business relationship management system and actively participates in its implementation and embed into the Keolis-MHI business. -Auditing and/or investigation skills. -Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. -Good communication and interpersonal skills for working collaboratively across all levels.
