Tasks

-Provide technical support during client engagements alongside account managers. -Oversee engineering execution from contract award through project delivery, ensuring: -Serve as EOR for projects until qualified PEs are onboarded. -Act as liaison between Estimating, Project Management Office (PMO), and Design teams. -Conduct annual performance reviews and salary recommendations for direct reports. -Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events (shared responsibility across the team). -Lead internal project kickoff meetings and coordinate across disciplines (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Studies). -Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective customers. -Support EITs on the team as they progress toward licensure. -Prepare technical proposals, scopes of work, and client-focused presentations. -Stamp all Issued-for-Construction (IFC) drawings generated by the team. -Oversee QA/QC processes; once licensed engineers are onboard, shift to an oversight role. -Support the estimating team with scope, budgeting, scheduling, and contracting. -Provide technical assistance and training to junior engineers. -Participate in hiring and candidate evaluations for the engineering team.

The company is seeking a motivated and technically proficient Director of Engineering – Electrical to join our dynamic team. This leadership role will focus on the design and execution of high-voltage substations and switchyards, transmission lines, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and industrial power system distribution projects. -10–20+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on HV substation design -Familiarity with industrial power distribution – Preferred -Strong interpersonal and communication skills -Willingness to travel for site visits, client meetings, and industry events -PE license (Professional Engineer) – Required -SCADA, RTU, and communication systems -Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders -Experience with BESS and renewable energy systems – Preferred -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems focus preferred) -Proficiency in: -ETAP, SKM, CYME, PSCAD (or similar software) -Knowledge of industry standards: NESC, NEC, IEEE, ANSI, and various utility standards -Adherence to deliverables and customer expectations -Bus configurations, grounding, and lightning protection
