Tasks
-Trains direct reports on processes, procedures, and completion of daily tasks -Manages Next150/Site Services material and crew needs -Leads contractor meetings on a regular basis -Engages in the community, growing and fostering relationships in the local market -Leads stretch and flex, daily huddle, and pre-task plans -Trains direct report Field Engineers and Superintendents on project needs, construction knowledge, and business acumen -Obtains or verifies that subcontractors obtain all necessary permits for construction purposes -Manages the project budget for general conditions and site services -Maintains a thorough understanding of contract documents in order to proactively anticipate potential problems -Conducts maintenance and planning of “workarounds,” shutdowns and tie-ins -Maintains daily reports and documentation using software tools -Manages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with overall company standards -Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members -Acts as primary safety representative in the field and enforces safety compliance with all trades -May be required to assist with tasks typically assigned to more junior positions -Directs the day-to-day coordination of Gilbane’s trade contractors and their sub-contractors to ensure high-quality work that meets the approved project schedule -Administers Time and Materials (T&M) tracking -Communicates schedule status, updates, and changes to project team and trade contractors -Creates, manages, and updates the project schedule, creating and implementing contingency plans when necessary -Aids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports -Develops safety strategies and drives safety culture across all project personnel -Resolves jurisdictional disputes with support from the Sr General Superintendent or Construction Executive -Assists in development, preplanning, and preconstruction/construction to write scopes of work and participate in buyout -Plans, coordinates, and manages jobsite logistics -Develops, documents, and communicates the work plan regarding changes made in the field -Collaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics on your assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables. Actively participates in opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships that position Gilbane as the “Builder of Choice” -Establishes credibility among owners, trade contractors, unions, and other project partners by maintaining a fair and trustworthy environment -Develops the Quality in Construction (QIC) plan in partnership with the Operations Excellence team, oversees the plan and implements necessary changes

You deploy a strategic mindset when considering solutions to long-term opportunities and risks that may develop in the future. -Familiarity with Pull Planning Process -Must have experience supervising a project team -Must have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan -Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management -10-15 years of experience on $30-$100 million commercial/industrial construction project(s) or multiple projects in a lead superintendent role -Must have experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control -STS-C Certification -Ability to participate in sales process, interviews, and presentations -First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training -OSHA 30-hour certified -Construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction -Proficient in Microsoft Office and other industry standard construction software tools -Ability to work in a team environment -Strong technical and communication skills -Excellent organizational skills -Or equivalent combination of education and experience -Must be able to create an environment where “safety first” is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude
