Fabricate, install, repair sheet metal components for BP Canada plant

Tasks

-Use of sheet metal shop equipment for building custom sheet metal products; -Operating a break press along with other Power Tools; -Do maintenance, installation and repairs on all aspects of the building components (exterior and interior); -Fabrication of Vents, Ducting and Guards; -Performs all duties in accordance with the safety program standards of the Company and the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Code; -Working with vendors, sourcing suppliers, asking for quotes and making purchase requests in collaboration with the Maintenance Planner; -Measure up materials for ordering and shop fabrication;

What You Bring

-Comfortable to work with many types of metal including black and galvanized steel, copper, brass, nickel, stainless steel and aluminum; -Experience in operating a Man lift or scissor lift equipment; -Sheet Metal Red Seal Certificate (required); -Must be customer focused, self starter and work well with others. -Comfortable in working at heights; -Basic computer skills, like writing emails and creating requisitions; -Able to work on their own (80% of the time), self starter and reliable; -Experience in HVAC, cladding, insulating, welding; -Pipe Insulation and Cladding; -5+ years experience as a Sheet Metal Journeyperson; -Sheet Metal Ticket (required); -Experience in a manufacturing environment;
