The Role

Tasks

-Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and construction personnel to promote quality assurance and control at every project stage. -Prepare detailed audit reports, track non-conformances, and verify corrective action implementation. -Identify potential risks, conduct root-cause analyses, and develop corrective and preventive action plans. -Provide training, guidance, and support to project staff on quality management principles and best practices. -Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Management Plans in accordance with ISO 9001 and/or FTA Quality Management System requirements. -Conduct audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with established quality standards and project specifications. -Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of company-wide quality standards and processes. -Monitor and evaluate contractor and consultant performance to ensure adherence to quality objectives.

What You Bring

The Quality Engineer / Inspector will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with quality management systems across all phases of project execution — from planning and design to construction. This role requires a strong background in implementing and auditing quality programs consistent with ISO 9001 and/or FTA Quality Management System requirements. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote a culture of quality, risk management, and continuous improvement within capital projects. -Minimum 8 years of experience managing a quality program, including auditing projects in the planning, design, and/or construction phases. -Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management/Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical or project management discipline. -Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, consultants, and internal teams. -Proven experience implementing Quality Management Plans compliant with ISO 9001 and/or FTA Quality Management System requirements. -In lieu of education, 12 years of relevant experience in a quality management position. -Demonstrated risk assessment and mitigation capabilities. -Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. -Strong understanding of quality management principles applicable to capital programs or infrastructure projects.
