  • Preparing bridge construction drawings using Microstation and AutoCAD, calculate bridge rebars and bridge quantity.
  • Preparation of construction documents based upon field surveys, available resources and client requirements.
  • Performing bridge inspections with professional engineers up to 15% of the time.

  • Proficiency in Microstation and AutoCAD.
  • Have a working knowledge of codes, standards, and building construction methods.
  • Kentucky Bridge design experience required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Technical problem solving.
  • Experience in supporting engineers in plan preparation for project work.
  • 5+ years of design experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.
  • KY PE required, ability to obtain OH PE within 6 months a plus.
  • Ability to work within a team environment working with individuals from various offices and in various disciplines through all phases of design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in reading and fully understanding bridge construction drawings in the fast-paced multi-site industry.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal assistance.
