Tasks

-Including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) -Train assigned technicians and evaluate their performance -PRACTICE WORKPLACE SAFETY in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in repair of HVAC equipment -Work on Air-cooled chillers, pumps and water systems, and VRF systems -Identify and aid with the acquisition of and efficiently use software needed to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair chillers -test input & output for voltage on building systems sensors/activators -Use a multi-meter to check voltage lamp -Prepare work orders and cost materials estimates -Use a torch for brazing -Prescribe and perform preventive maintenance of chilled water generation equipment with little to no supervision

What You Bring

-Understand the Refrigeration cycle with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend repair strategies -Valid driver's license compliant with REAL ID Act or are you willing and able to obtain one -Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces -Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check -EPA Universal Refrigeration License -Regular, dependable attendance -Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking -Read schematic diagrams -U.S citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations -Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted -Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions -HVAC I course or equivalent -Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping -5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing Trane, Carrier, and York Scroll and Screw type chillers and associated cooling towers -Advanced troubleshooting and mechanical knowledge of various HVAC units -High school diploma or equivalent
