The Role

Overview

Install, program, and commission fire alarm and low‑voltage systems in commercial buildings.

Tasks

-Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required. -Identify and assist with suggested solutions for an efficient installation to complete scope. -Foreman and Technicians, assist customers on site with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner. -Foreman will layout and provide direction to CSI installers on site as well as coordinate and communicate with the Project Manager to efficiently complete the project on time and on budget. -Foreman and Technicians, meet with code officials to arrange for building permits, code issues and to discuss the intended wiring and installation methods being used. -Foreman and Technicians, coordinate the project activities with other trades at the work locations to optimize installation time. -Resolve field problems through research of multiple alternatives. -Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals. -Identify out of scope requests by the contractor or customer and notify management of pending changes. -Responsible for the execution of the installation project plan provided including equipment delivery, trouble shooting, commissioning as well as interface with other trades to successfully complete projects while exceeding customer's expectations. -Installation of fire life safety and other low voltage systems in medium and large commercial buildings. -Effectively communicate project status to management.

What You Bring

-Regular, reliable, predictable attendance. -Fire Alarm License (FAL) -Industry related BICSI, NICET and/or State Certification is preferred. -Must have excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers. -Communicate and effectively interact with other contractors and building owners. -Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record. -Technician shall have the ability to program or are experienced with programing low voltage systems including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, or CCTV. -Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. -Must be proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office. -Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools as required and lifting to 75lbs. -Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing a ladder, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
